OpenCorporates company records
OpenCorporates
Company registry information such as legal names, registration numbers and registered addresses. OpenCorporates is not an active RepVector data source.
Nothing in the platform queries OpenCorporates, and no RepVector output is derived from it. This page explains what it covers and points to the connected sources that come closest.
What this source is
OpenCorporates aggregates company records from official registries across jurisdictions. Records can include legal name, company number, incorporation date, status and registered address.
A registered company is a legal entity, not necessarily a healthcare practice or a location where patients receive care.
Known limits
- Registration records do not establish current clinical operations, provider specialties or patient volume.
- A registered address may be an agent's address rather than an operating location.
- RepVector does not query OpenCorporates; the alternatives below are not a replacement for a company registry search.
What RepVector reads instead
These connected datasets cover the closest ground and are queried live in a RepVector build.
Common questions
Does RepVector query OpenCorporates?
RepVector does not read this source directly. Nothing in the platform queries it, and no RepVector output is derived from it.
Do company registrations identify healthcare providers?
Not reliably. For healthcare provider identities, RepVector uses NPPES records. An NPI record is not proof of company ownership or incorporation.
