NPI lookup with rep context
Search the CMS national provider registry by NPI number, organisation, or clinician name. Each match comes back with address, phone, taxonomy and a ranked reason it is worth a call — scored only from fields on the registry record itself.
Registry-true
Every field comes straight from CMS NPPES. Nothing is inferred, nothing is filled in.
Ranked, with reasons
Active status, published phone, multi-site footprint, payer identifiers and record freshness.
No account needed
Search as often as you like, save a list, export it as CSV. Accounts are only needed for full market runs.
NPI lookup questions
- What is an NPI number?
- An NPI is the 10-digit National Provider Identifier that CMS assigns to every healthcare provider and organisation in the United States. It never changes and it is public, which is why it works as the key for matching a provider across registries, claims files and directories.
- Is this NPI lookup free?
- Yes. Searching by NPI number, organisation name, clinician name, city, state or specialty is free and needs no account. An account is only required to run a full market analysis across the wider connector catalog.
- Where does the data come from?
- Every field comes directly from the CMS NPPES registry through its public API. Nothing is inferred or filled in from another source. If the registry holds no phone number for a record, this page shows no phone number.
- How is the context score calculated?
- The 0-100 score uses only signals present on the returned registry record: active registration status, organisation versus individual, a published phone number, a full street address, the number of practice locations, the number of taxonomies, payer identifiers on file, and how recently the record was updated. Each match lists the reasons behind its own score.
- Can I export the providers I find?
- Yes. Tick any results to build a saved list, then download it as a CSV with the NPI, name, taxonomy, full address, phone, context score and the reasons behind each score. The saved list stays on your device and can also be carried into a full market run as pinned targets.
- How current is the registry data?
- NPPES is updated continuously by CMS and by providers themselves. Each result shows the date that record was last updated in the registry, so you can judge freshness per provider rather than assuming it for the whole list.
